Do you dream of visiting outer space and becoming an astronaut? Well, pack your bags and get ready to blast off at Space Camp! We’ll be taking off and visiting the moon, Venus, Mars, and beyond in our solar system and even far-off galaxies! Let’s create some beautiful artwork of outer space, make some awesome experiments using our STEM skills, and enjoy some spaced themed games every day too, so grab your space helmets, and let’s go! Computer science and coding are all around us and are fun 21st century skills for kids to learn. Students will be introduced to computer coding basics through a variety of activities with coding robots, games, books, and websites. 810. Caldecott Inspired Art and Writing
The Caldecott Award is given yearly to the illustrator of the best new picture book for children. We will read a diverse selection of Caldecott books together and learn how the illustrations and story were created. Campers will create several pieces of art using different mediums inspired by the Caldecott books (i.e. sketch, paint, chalk, collage, etc.).
