Computer science and coding are all around us and are fun 21st century skills for kids to learn. Students will be introduced to computer coding basics through a variety of activities with coding robots, games, books, and websites. 612. Crochet Your Way to Fun
Students are about to learn the art of crochet. No experience is necessary, we will start at the beginning and help students at their level of need to learn how to crochet. In painting with a twist your young artists will paint different works of art based on pieces by history’s most talented painters. Learn all about pop art with Andy Warhol, abstract painting by Piet Mondrain, and the beautiful works of Van Gogh. Artists will also get to learn how to make their own watercolor paint. 615. Cooking and Baking Through Hogwarts
Do you love Harry Potter and spending time in the kitchen? During this class, we will work together to make a variety of Harry Potter themed recipes come to life such as chocolate frogs, pumpkin pasties, pretzel wands, and more! 616. Young Artist Workshop - Creative Creatures
This 4-day camp is all about animals, real and imagined. Campers will mainly explore the art medium of paper mache and construct a creature of their own imagination. We will walk through the design, construction, painting and finishing process, and campers will take home their new paper mache pet at the end of the week! In between the various stages of paper mache, we will engage in different art activities and games. This camp is perfect for your young artist who doesn’t mind getting messy, who loves thinking outside the box and who looks forward to getting to know creative peers! 617. Stained Glass Art
Have you ever wanted to melt metal and cut glass? Students will learn the copper foil method of stained glass art as they cut, grind, and create their own Stained Glass Project. Each project will be mounted in a frame for display. All supplies are provided. Parents are amazed each year with what their campers can create! Plan to attend all the days of camp to complete the project. The 4 day camp (July 5-8) will have easier projects to complete. Each week of camp is limited to 10 students. An additional $20 supply fee will be charged for this camp. Come make the magic happen with building blocks, explore multiple art mediums, and design different types of sensory toys based on a daily theme. Come join Coach Platten and Coach Heath as we embark on a week of becoming an Eagle in Training.
